awkward. & awesome.

I started doing awkward. & awesome. blog post a while back and haven't done one in a seriously long time, so I'm bringing it back. which is kinda what I said last time, but I'm really really serious this time. oh snap.

If you wanna check out some old posting you can  here, here, and HERE! okay, there weren't a ton, but I'm workin' on it. 

The actual originator of this idea is Sydney from The Day Book Blog. She's seriously funny, no joke. She does her link ups on Thursday, but me, I'm gunna blog awkward & awesome post on Wednesdays. There's something about mid week funnies that make the rest of the week better. I can't say I' going to make you laugh but I do occasionally make myself giggle.

- Getting really stuck in a super-cute-shirt-that-you-really-wanted-to-try-and-pull-off-but-you-can't while completely alone. no friend. no hubby. Just me and the mirror. Its already bad enough that I absolutely hate trying on clothes, in those tiny, tiny dressing rooms. anddd why aren't there ever enough hooks for everything you have. pshhhh

- Moving a large table at your garage sale then falling on your face and having potential buyers leave looking all awkwardly at me. I'm really not very graceful.

- my morning hair.

- Seeing new doctors. I'm not sure what it is about this that makes it awkward for me, but I get really nervous and flustered. lol

- public bathrooms in general and I really don't think you need detail on that one!

- trying to buy fab jeans, while spotting your ex behind the counter. Its funny how fast those "fab" jeans aren't so fab anymore, thrown back on the table and out the door, purely because of the awkward convo we would have had to have. and all the while the hubs is laughing at the whole situation. cool thanks.

- finding money in an old purse. swweeeeet.

- all the spring colored shirts I just bought!

- the hubs went to the grocery store all by himself. for the first time. ever. andddd he brought home Dove chocolates.

- my stuffed peppers that were so good. You can get the recipe from Little Miss Momma

Not to fret, I have brought back awkward and awesome! I'm ready to add a little excitement into your WEDNESDAY!!

awkward:
♥ Saying something out loud.. that was really only meant to be thought.
♥ Draw Something... the game in itself is awkward.
♥ Last nights asparagus. yuck.
♥ The "lady" doctor visits. enough said.
♥ I HATE flying, really hate it. Even more I HATE flying alone. A few months ago I had to fly to  Louisiana and i had to take a connecting flight in Houston. If you've EVER been to Houston, you know its MASSIVE. Well, clumsy me was rushing make it to the next plane, when I completely slip and fall in front of EVERYONE. I've never got up so quickly in my life. Worst part is half the people behind me had to follow me all the way to my next plane.

♥ Spring... ahh dresses and flops, AND being able to drink coffee and leave the windows and doors open.

   them seeing you point.
> Wearing the same EXACT dress as a random and then
    having them come up to you and comment on it. {man where was
     the camera on this one - THANKS whit!}
> ANOTHER spillage accident: dropping MELTED CHEESE on
   your black skirt. If that wasn't enough.. the 15 people who
   gave me weird looks might be.
> Breaking it down in public {YES this is a repeat offense, but I can't seem to
     break this habit - HIGHLY UNATTRACTIVE}
> Attempting to open your car door and then realizing its not
   your car, just one that looks pretty darn similar.
> Laughing really hard at something in class, only to realize you
   are the ONLY one laughing.

> Spending all of Saturday on the couch watching movies with
   the hubster.
> Finishing an entire weeks worth of homework in 3 hours {YES!}
> Dinner & Wine with good friends and their super precious
   baby boy!
> Enjoying a piece of cheesecake without feeling guilty :)
> Doing Crossfit and LOVING every mintue of it {okay EXCEPT the
    running part}
> Ending a CRAZY busy week with some of my favorite girly
   friends.

{a case of the Monday's}

awkward. & awesome.

Because my FAVORITE blog suggested this, I had no choice but to DO it!  So here’s to an even HAPPIER Monday!

awkward:

- Cutting off a lady in the parking lot only to have her park right NEXT to you… wait.. and the WORST part is her shaking her head while mumbling what a crappy driver I am. - thanks! duly noted! :)

- Drinking coffee at work missing my mouth and having it spill on inappropriate places. Then having people stare at the inappropriate places.

- Thinking you can “break it down” in public – enough said.

- Having predictive text which suggest really inappropriate words… which makes conversations a little AWKAWARD - or maybe more entertaining?? **Note to self to read the text first then decided!

- Deciding to “self tan” and then realizing the next day that I completely missed a huge chunk of my arm. S-W-E-E-T .

- Spelling awkward wrong until this post. - ya not so proud.

awesome:

- Having a really long conversation with an old friend.

- Starbucks Passion Ice Tea Lemonade. End of story.

- Having someone compliment you on one of those not-so-pretty-because-you're-overly-emotional days.

- Driving around jamming out to music, which makes me feel 18 again… which only makes doing it awesomer.

 - Falling asleep to the sound of rain… ridiculously peaceful.

- Happy hour dates with your girly-friends.

- Finding clothes at H&M despite my lack of fashion skills! Success!
