Tote Baggin'

So this weekend really didn't consist of much of anything exciting. :) I did however create a fun little tote bag so I thought I'd share. 

Supplies:

- Tote Bag (on sale) $ 2

- Ribbon (coupon) $2

- Flower (on clearance) $.85

- Hot Glue Gun 

I hot glued the ribbon and flower on the tote bag. I have zero sewing skills so this was a super easy solution. :) And really just a small mess. I used the lighter to melt the ends of the ribbon so the thread wouldn't unravel before I hot glued it down. I also used the toothpick to push the ends down into the crease of the bag. Helps make it look a little prettier. I would recommend using a popsicle stick instead.   

Whole project costed me $4.85. Sweeeeeet. You of course could use any ribbon or flowers and as many flowers as you'd like.

Keys...keys...KEYS

This may come as a shock, but there are a few areas of my house that aren't so organized. One of them just-so-happens to be the area where we place our keys and our ummm junk from the day (change, chapstick, papers, gum, etc...). 

Well I decided to start trying to clean up this area by making these sweeeeeet key holders: 

I also found this gorgeous letter holder at a thrift store. This will HOPEFULLY give my husband a place he can put all his work stuff, instead of leaving them all over the washing machine. :)

Easy Peezy Art Project

Its been a few weeks... my famous words, right? Well I wanted to share my easy craft project that I found on Pinterest. This is my version of it. :)

Here is what I used:

♥ (1) Canvas - any size would work, its up to you

♥ (1) Silver sparkle scrapbooking paper

♥ (1) Grey scrapbooking paper

♥ Circle punch - any size works or any shape

♥  Glue

♥ White Paint & Paint Brush (not necessary)

Here are the steps:

1. Paint the canvas with white paint and let dry. (Not a necessary step, you don't need to paint it.) 

2. While the paint is drying, use the punch and punch out circles from all scrabooking paper. You can use any colors, and more then two. I chose to use silver and grey because it goes with the colors in my living room. I also cut some in half to use around the edges.

3. Once the paint is dry and the circles are cut out, glue them to the canvas. I didn't do any specific order, just glued them on and added as needed.

All finished and placed in my living room, I can't guarantee that it will stay there, but its pretty:
