6 Things You Should Know

It looks like this post has been going around in the blog world. I am happy to have been tagged by one of my FAVORITE bloggers and friend Carissa over at T is for Townsend and it is only right to answer them :)

1.) How much do you love Carissa Townsend?

Even though this is a joke question, I love her! Shes super fun, an extremely talent writer, witty, and a pretty awesome Zumba-er.

For reals: 
 1.) What made you want to start blogging?

I originally started my blog because I found Ashley's blog over at Little Miss Momma. And I just really enjoyed reading it. Through her I found other bloggers I still love reading. And I was like I want to be apart of this! And I really enjoy writing too. Once I started I loved every bit of the blog world. I love the friends you make and the stories you read. Love LOVE love.

 

 

2.) If you had to go back and re-name your dog based on their personality, what would it be?
Cray! Because he is wild and crazy. He looks all cute and stuff, but then he wakes and hes CRAZY.

 

3.) Favorite TV show?
I watch A LOT of TV. Not sure I could pick just one. I pretty much love trash TV. Its so sad really. But as for real TV shows I like New Girl. Shes just so funny! 

But all time favorite is still Friends. Nothing beats it. And I still refer real life situations to friends lol.

4.) If you were stuck on a deserted island for a bunch of years, a la Castaway, and you could bring three items, what would you bring? (I know, it's a oldie but a goodie)
 - My Hubby
- The Budster
- Food?? if there was already food I'd bring a bed. :)
Is that weird? What would everyone else bring? 

5.) Most embarrassing moment?
I don't get embarrassed to easily because I think everything is funny, but I really HATE public speaking, so for me that pretty much tops my embarrassing moment. I cant even get through the speech. To graduate college I had to take a communications class and I signed up for an online class thinking oh yea no public speaking. And then BAM, had to do a speech for my final. Boo.

6.) If Expedia offered you a trip, but you had to leave tomorrow (as advertised), would you do it? And where would you pick to go?  
 Oh heck yes! I'd be out the door. I would probably go to New York. I've always wanted to go there!!

1. What is your favorite book or movie?

Favorite book of all time... Perks of Being a Wallflower. Fav book right now Hunger games!

2. Why did you start blogging?

To share my stories, my life, crafting, and to meet and work with other bloggers. One day I was looking for something and came across a BLOG that I just couldn't stop reading. She inspired me to want to share.

3. What is the first blog you read when you hop on your computer each day?

Jumping off the last question, probably little miss momma

4. Are your friends and family aware, or supportive of you blogging?

COMPLETELY... very lucky to have their support.  ♥

5. How did you decide on you blog name?

Well my in-laws call my husband and I Dash (Dan + Ash), so Dashing Tales just seemed to fit.. since I'd be writing about our lives. :)

6. What food could you not live without?

PASTA... and its the one thing I really wish I could live without... 

7. What food would you never want to eat again?

Peas.. end-of-story.

8. Do you have pets? Tell me more!

Yes a dog named Buddy.. and he is incredibly hyper but so so sweet

9. City girl or country girl?

A city girl with country in her blood and heart! I love living a fast past life, but take me to the woods and I'll put on boots, play in the mud, and shoot off my gun!

10. Favorite fast food stop?

Chiptole... even though it really isn't "fast food" :)

11. Biggest obstacle in blogging?

Deciding on what to write about...

Love for Football

Let me begin by telling you that I am originally from Louisiana.. born and raised! So just so you know I am an OBSESSIVE LSU fan... not one of those obnoxious rude fans, but one of those cant-live-without-football-might-die-if-I-miss-a-game kinda crazy fan.

Any who, two weeks ago my company had an event and invited some guest speakers to come and share with us there stories. One of those guest speakers just-so-happened to be be CHAD JONES. He played for LSU and then was drafted to the NFL by the New York Giants. SO I was able to take a few pictures with him... and in one of them he let me hold his SUPERBOWL ring.. no big deal. ;)

I even got him to sign my football:

Blog List: My 16-Year-Old Self

10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could

If had the chance to tell my younger self anything, I think my biggest advice, would be to be a better friend. Be there, listen, share, learn to understand, just be there. I think its important to be a good friend because the older you get, the harder it is to find friends with qualities like this. But not to worry because the girl in nursing, turns out to be exactly the kind of friend you needed and because of her you learn  what friendship is all about (9 years and counting).  

I would tell myself to put the SODA down and drink more water. And of course EAT better. No more cheese puffs, hamburgers, ELMERS (CHS), and eat a dang salad already. 

Your first love will not be your last, but the heart break will hurt... and it will hurt badly, but it will heal. Later in life, you will meet your prince charming and meeting him helps you realize that your first experience with love was worth the heart break and that it taught you how to really love someone, full heartily.

Lets be realistic... you don't know EVERYTHING.

Take college seriously, and really go for what it is you want to do and remember you have to pay all those loans back someday.

Enjoy the breaks and summer vacations, because when you're older they aren't as frequent.

Find God, and really know him, walk with him. He will be your shoulder when all else fails.

High school does end eventually, and the best years are really AFTER it ends. And that's when you will find the REAL you, but remember to stay true to what you've learned.

Stay a hopeless romantic because after kissing a lot of FROGS, your prince charming will sweep you off your feet. And while it may seem like he's not your prince at first, he proves you wrong and you'll end up marrying that so called boy.... and he will make all your dreams come true. ♥

Its crazy to think if I would have done things different knowing what I know now.... but I don't think I would do anything differently because of where it has lead me.
